The education system in ancient India has always been very disciplined and well-organized. During those times, traditional and religious knowledge used to be the main subjects, palm leaves, and tree barks were used as notebooks and the sages were guiding young minds to become learned individuals. Later, education became more relevant under the Gurukul system which required the teachers and students to board together and it was this place that knowledge was passed from generation to generation.
